This guide covers the full two-step installation process for Sprinter 2019–2022, including the required prep and the exact microSD card sequence. It also explains LED status codes, what to do if “Remaining Starts” doesn’t clear, when to send the LOGFILE, and a final note about the SCR block location.
This guide explains the step-by-step installation process for Sprinter 2019–2022 using the OBD module. You’ll run a two-step procedure with the correct microSD cards, learn how to interpret the LED indicator, and know when to send the LOGFILE if the process is interrupted.
Prior to beginning the module installation, it is highly recommended that you carefully read through these instructions multiple times. Doing so will ensure a thorough understanding of the process and help you avoid any unnecessary mistakes.
Before proceeding with the module installation, you must complete the following REQUIRED steps:
Fill DEF to 100%. If your tank is around 70–90%, top it off to full. Do not overfill to the neck. If it’s overfilled, the ultrasonic level sensor can read incorrectly.
IMPORTANT! Fully charge the vehicle’s battery. If possible, run the engine for 30 minutes. If your vehicle cannot start due to a DEF/AdBlue block, use a 40A battery charger connected for at least 1 hour. For smaller chargers (3–5 amps), charging for 24 hours will be necessary. Please follow your Battery Charger’s instructions for proper use.
You will need to insert the module into the OBD2 port two times, using each microSD card in the correct sequence.
The module has a small opening with an LED indicator. After plugging the module into the OBD2 port, the LED will light up green and begin blinking.
You must monitor the LED during this process. Once the LED stops blinking (which can take 2–4 minutes, depending on the microSD card), the script installation will be complete. You can then remove the module and proceed with the next step.
If the LED flashes twice or three times and does not stop, the installation was unsuccessful. Remove the module and send the LOGFILE.LOG stored on the microSD card. You will need a computer and SD card reader to access the file. You can send it via email, WhatsApp, or another method.
The module installation is now complete. Start the engine. If the Check Engine light appears on the dashboard, this is normal. To resolve this issue, disable the SCR block.
