Products and Services
OBDTune may offer, depending on vehicle compatibility and product availability:
- OBD programming modules;
- DEF / AdBlue / SCR-related software services;
- EGR, DPF, EKAS, and related software solutions;
- emulator kits;
- OBD reset modules;
- ECU tuning and related software services;
- installation instructions;
- remote technical support;
- diagnostic and troubleshooting assistance;
- related automotive electronic products and services.
Product descriptions, compatibility information, installation instructions, prices, and availability may change at any time without prior notice.
We reserve the right to modify, discontinue, replace, or refuse any product or service at our discretion.
Vehicle Compatibility
Vehicle compatibility is required before using any OBDTune product or service.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete vehicle information, including, when requested:
- VIN;
- vehicle make, model, and year;
- engine type;
- market version;
- mileage;
- current dashboard warnings;
- fault codes;
- previous repairs or modifications;
- diagnostic reports;
- photos, videos, or other information needed for compatibility review.
OBDTune may provide compatibility guidance based on the information provided by the customer. However, compatibility depends on the actual condition, configuration, software version, hardware version, market version, prior modifications, and repair history of the vehicle.
If the customer provides incomplete, incorrect, misleading, or outdated information, OBDTune is not responsible for incompatibility, failed installation, incorrect product selection, delays, additional costs, or unsuccessful service results.
If a product, software package, module, emulator kit, reset module, or service is prepared, programmed, configured, shipped, or delivered based on an incorrect VIN, incorrect vehicle information, or a wrong vehicle selected by the customer, OBDTune is not required to provide a free replacement, free second software package, free second module, free second emulator kit, free reprogramming, refund, or credit, unless OBDTune made the error.
Customer Responsibilities
By purchasing or using any OBDTune product or service, the customer agrees to:
- verify vehicle compatibility before purchase or installation;
- provide accurate vehicle and order information;
- follow all provided instructions carefully;
- use a properly charged and stable vehicle battery during installation or programming;
- not disconnect power during programming;
- not remove an OBD module while the LED is blinking or while the process is active;
- not start the engine with the OBD module installed unless specifically instructed;
- disconnect or remove conflicting aftermarket CAN devices, diagnostic tools, or electronics when instructed;
- send LOGFILE data, photos, videos, or diagnostic information when requested by support;
- stop the installation and contact support if an error, warning, exception, or unexpected behavior occurs;
- follow OBDTune support recommendations before requesting a refund, warranty replacement, or dispute resolution.
Failure to follow instructions may cause installation failure, vehicle communication issues, module errors, incomplete programming, additional diagnostic work, or other problems. OBDTune is not responsible for issues caused by failure to follow instructions.
Installation and Technical Support
OBDTune may provide written instructions, video instructions, diagrams, remote guidance, and technical support.
Installation may require basic mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic skills. Some products may require access to fuse boxes, control units, wiring connectors, NOx sensor connectors, SCR / DEF / AdBlue components, or OBD ports.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that installation is performed correctly and safely. If the customer is not comfortable performing the installation, the customer should use a qualified technician.
Technical support may request:
- photos or videos of the dashboard;
- photos or videos of the installation;
- LOGFILE data from an OBD module;
- diagnostic scans;
- fault codes;
- information about prior repairs or modifications;
- confirmation that installation steps were followed.
Support results may depend on the customer’s cooperation, accuracy of provided information, vehicle condition, and whether the customer follows recommendations.
Software, Programming, and Digital Services
Some OBDTune products and services include software programming, ECU-related services, OBD programming, reset procedures, configuration changes, or other digital service components.
Vehicle-specific software packages, programming services, reset procedures, emulator kits, OBD modules, reset modules, and other digital or vehicle-specific services may be prepared, configured, or delivered for a specific vehicle or VIN.
Once the package has been delivered to the customer, or once a vehicle-specific software, programming, reset, or digital service has been delivered, started, performed, accessed, or used, the order cannot be cancelled or returned simply because the customer changed their mind, no longer needs the product or service, ordered for the wrong vehicle, provided an incorrect VIN, or does not want to continue.
Refunds after delivery are available only as expressly stated in our Refund Policy.
OBDTune does not guarantee that a product or service will fix unrelated mechanical, electrical, wiring, sensor, battery, fuel system, exhaust, turbocharger, ECU, transmission, or diagnostic problems.
Emulator Kits and OBD Modules
Emulator kits, OBD modules, reset modules, and similar products must be used only with compatible vehicles and only according to the instructions provided.
The customer is responsible for:
- connecting wires, fuses, grounds, and signal connections correctly;
- disconnecting required control units or sensors when instructed;
- verifying LED status or other indicators when instructed;
- confirming that the correct module, script, or installation sequence is used;
- contacting support before continuing if results differ from the instructions.
Incorrect wiring, wrong fuse connection, poor ground, reversed wiring, failure to disconnect required components, damaged connectors, incompatible vehicle configuration, or failure to follow instructions may cause the product or service not to work correctly.
OBDTune is not responsible for damage, malfunction, failed installation, or additional costs caused by incorrect installation, misuse, modification, unauthorized repair, or use on an incompatible vehicle.
Emissions, Legal Compliance, and Local Laws
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that any product or service purchased from OBDTune complies with all applicable local, state, federal, provincial, national, and international laws, regulations, inspection requirements, emissions rules, registration requirements, and road-use rules. Additional terms are described in our Emissions & Compliance Disclaimer.
OBDTune products and services may affect emissions-related systems, diagnostic readiness monitors, inspection results, registration eligibility, road-use legality, warranty coverage, or compliance status in certain jurisdictions.
Some products or services may not be legal for use on public roads in certain locations. The customer is responsible for determining whether a product or service is permitted for the intended vehicle and intended use.
OBDTune does not guarantee that any vehicle will pass emissions testing, safety inspection, readiness monitor inspection, registration inspection, or any other government, state, provincial, or local inspection.
Readiness monitor results and inspection requirements vary by jurisdiction. The customer is responsible for checking the applicable rules before purchasing or using any product or service.
OBDTune is not responsible for fines, failed inspections, registration issues, legal claims, enforcement actions, penalties, loss of road-use eligibility, or other consequences arising from the customer’s use of products or services in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
Orders and Payment
All prices are listed on our website or provided directly by OBDTune. Prices may change at any time without notice.
An order is not confirmed until payment is received and accepted.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, incorrect pricing, product unavailability, incompatible vehicle information, unsupported vehicle configuration, or violation of these Terms.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate billing, shipping, contact, and vehicle information.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers, including PayPal, card processors, banks, or other available payment platforms. Payment providers may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, dispute procedures, and verification requirements.
Shipping and Delivery
Shipping terms are governed by our
Shipping Policy.
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. OBDTune is not responsible for delays, failed delivery, lost packages, return-to-sender events, or additional shipping costs caused by an incorrect, incomplete, restricted, or undeliverable address.
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Shipping delays may occur due to carrier issues, customs clearance, weather, holidays, remote locations, incorrect address details, or other factors outside our control.
Risk of loss may pass to the customer when the package is handed to the shipping carrier, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Customs, Duties, Taxes, and Import Requirements
For international orders, the customer is responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT, brokerage fees, carrier fees, customs clearance requirements, and local import rules.
OBDTune is not responsible for customs delays, import restrictions, seizure, refusal of entry, additional documentation requirements, or charges imposed by customs authorities, carriers, brokers, or government agencies.
If a package is refused, delayed, held, or returned due to customs, import restrictions, unpaid duties, or missing information, the customer is responsible for cooperating with the carrier, customs authorities, and OBDTune to resolve the issue.
If the package is returned to OBDTune, we may send a replacement after the return is confirmed, as described in our
Shipping Policy.
Warranty
Warranty terms are governed by our
Warranty Policy.
Unless otherwise stated, eligible OBDTune hardware products may include a limited one-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Warranty coverage does not apply to damage, malfunction, or failure caused by:
- incorrect installation;
- misuse or failure to follow instructions;
- physical, electrical, or water damage;
- vehicle electrical problems;
- unauthorized modification, repair, or tampering;
- use on an incompatible vehicle;
- normal wear and tear;
- loss, theft, or accidental damage.
If a product is confirmed defective under warranty, OBDTune may, at its discretion, repair, replace, or refund the defective product.
Refund Policy
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Refunds may be available only when both of the following conditions are met:
- the service was unsuccessful despite the customer following all instructions and recommendations provided by OBDTune; and
- the refund request is submitted within 30 days of the service date.
Both conditions must be met at the same time.
If the customer refuses, stops, or fails to participate in the troubleshooting process requested by OBDTune, including providing requested LOGFILE data, photos, videos, diagnostic scans, or other support information, the customer is not eligible to request or receive a refund.
Refunds are not available when the issue is caused by:
- incorrect VIN, incorrect vehicle information, or wrong vehicle selection;
- use on an unsupported or incompatible vehicle;
- incorrect installation or failure to follow instructions;
- refusal to cooperate with troubleshooting;
- unrelated vehicle mechanical or electrical problems;
- product damage or modification;
- violation of these Terms.
Shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, payment processing fees, and third-party fees may be non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
Returns and Replacements
Returns and replacements must be approved by OBDTune before any item is shipped back.
The customer must contact OBDTune for return instructions before sending any product.
Returned products must be safely packaged and must include all required components, unless OBDTune instructs otherwise.
OBDTune is not responsible for returned items lost or damaged in transit.
Unauthorized returns may be refused, delayed, or returned to the customer.
No Guarantee for Unrelated Vehicle Problems
OBDTune products and services are designed to address specific supported systems, functions, or software-related conditions.
OBDTune does not guarantee that any product or service will repair, bypass, reset, or resolve unrelated vehicle problems, including:
- mechanical or electrical issues;
- wiring, connector, or CAN communication problems;
- weak battery or low voltage problems;
- faulty sensors not covered by the selected product;
- ECU or control unit failures;
- fuel system, turbocharger, or exhaust restriction problems;
- DPF restrictions not covered by the selected service;
- prior incorrect repairs, aftermarket modifications, or non-original software;
- unsupported ECU or control unit versions;
- water damage, accident damage, or corrosion.
The customer is responsible for the general mechanical and electrical condition of the vehicle.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OBDTune is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
- vehicle downtime, towing costs, rental vehicle costs, or transportation costs;
- mechanic labor costs, diagnostic costs, repair costs, or replacement part costs;
- failed inspections, registration problems, emissions-related issues, customs fees, duties, taxes, or legal penalties;
- loss of income, loss of business, lost profits, lost data, or lost opportunities;
- claims, costs, damages, or losses caused by third parties.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OBDTune’s total liability for any claim related to a product or service is limited to the amount paid by the customer for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Intellectual Property
All content on the OBDTune website, including text, images, graphics, videos, diagrams, product descriptions, instructions, logos, software descriptions, documents, layouts, and other materials, is owned by OBDTune or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, resell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit any OBDTune content, product, software, module, instructions, files, or materials without our prior written permission.
User-Submitted Files, LOGFILEs, Photos, and Videos
When you send us LOGFILE data, photos, videos, screenshots, diagnostic reports, vehicle information, or other materials, you grant OBDTune permission to use those materials for:
- compatibility review;
- installation support;
- troubleshooting;
- service verification;
- warranty review;
- refund review;
- product improvement;
- fraud prevention;
- internal training and technical analysis.
You confirm that you have the right to send these materials and that they do not violate the rights of any third party.
Please avoid sending unrelated personal, private, or sensitive information.
Third-Party Services
Our website and services may use or link to third-party services, including payment providers, shipping carriers, analytics tools, advertising platforms, messaging platforms, video platforms, and support tools.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. OBDTune is not responsible for the acts, omissions, policies, delays, errors, outages, or decisions of third-party providers.
Disputes, Chargebacks, and Cooperation Requirement
Before opening a payment dispute, chargeback, PayPal claim, bank claim, or similar case, the customer agrees to contact OBDTune and allow us a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve the issue.
The customer agrees to cooperate with support by providing requested information, LOGFILE data, photos, videos, diagnostic scans, or other evidence needed to evaluate the issue.
Failure to cooperate with troubleshooting or support review may affect refund, warranty, replacement, or dispute eligibility.
Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights under applicable law.
Privacy
Our collection, use, storage, and sharing of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using our website, purchasing our products, or contacting us for support, you acknowledge that your personal information may be processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
When we update these Terms, we will change the “Latest updated” date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of our website, products, or services after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
